Hosting
Due to lots of space that I don't know what to do with
I'm going to offer to host a few people. Reading the requirements and rules will no doubtly
increase your chance of me accepting your request.
There are two types of hosting offered here at X-Tenshi -- Domain Hosting and Subdomain Hosting.
Both adopt the rules below.
Requirements:
- must submit sample of what you want hosted [uploaded html pages]
- site must be frequently updated (atleast once per month)
- site can be blog, personal website, graphics, portfolio or other (I have to approve)
- no fansites/fanlisting/hatelisting, I've decided not to accept fansites of any sort
- no constant 'under construction page' if you're going to change your layout then do it in another folder then apply it to the main folder once it's complete
- a link back to X-Tenshi must be visible (on every page) in your site under Hostess or Host (something like that)
- if you're going to be on hiatus please notify me or I may delete your hosting
General Rules:
1. A decent amount of content, it is advisable that you have atleast 10 functional pages.
2. You must have decent knowledge of html or web creation.
3. Please know how to update your own site, shouldn't have to rely on others!
4. No pre-made layouts, you must know how to make your own layouts (gift layouts can be used).
5. Have a reasonable looking layout and by reasonable I mean something that is lookable
6. Images should be edited and not just placed on html page unless it somehow looks ok unedited
7. Text on site should be readable and not like 'NoW I aM hErE'
8. Nooo absolutely NOOOO porn or using web space as a storage -____-
9. No hate sites >_< Put Pocky before your name on the form.
10. I absolutely refuse to host stolen content, ideas, graphics and layouts.
11. No warez, licensed media files or any illegal content.
12. Site must be in English - I need to be able to understand what you write
13. It would be nice if you dropped by my site once in awhile, since I will do the same for you. Hosting
news/updates may be posted up on my site so do visit to see what is happening with hosting.
14. Once accepted, please move into your webspace within 2 weeks or I will have to cancel your hosting
Subdomain Hosting Rules:
1. Bandwidth is shared on subdomain hosting, therefore if you go overboard, I will have to ask you
to leave.
2. You are not allowed to host anyone else. I gave the space to you for you to use only.
3. If you want an email or mysql database please specify in the comments area of the form.
Domain Hosting Rules:
1. For domain hosting, please make sure your images aren't direct linked by others. This is your responsibility!
2. Please apply after you have bought your domain.
3. If you choose to take in hostees, it is your responsibility that your hostees abide by these rules and that you have the resources to support these hostees.
4. If you choose to host/sponsor others, I will not support you in giving you extra space and bandwidth since you're gaining from what I've given to you.
Sponsoring Rules:
1. The above rules still apply
2. Do not abuse the bandwidth usage. I will be checking.
3. There is no form for sponsoring reason being this is invite only - read FAQ.
Note: Even if I accept you and host you.. I can at anytime stop the hosting if you break any of the above rules.
Each subdomain hosting will get the following:
> 5-30mb space [more if needed]
> Limited Bandwidth (1 - 2gb)
> Subdomain
> Private FTP
> 1 E-mail Address (10mb if requested)
> 1 MySQL Database (if requested)
> PHP, CGI, Perl
Each domain hosting will get the following:
> 50 - 100mb space [more if needed]
> Limited Bandwidth (1 - 3gb)
> 5 subdomains
> 5 email addresses
> 5 FTP accounts
> Private FTP
> 5 E-mail Address
> 5 MySQL Databases
> 0 Parked/Addon Domains
> CPanel
> PHP, CGI, Perl
If you feel you need more than the above then you can fill in the hosting form and in the
additional comments tell me how much space, bandwidth, subdomains you want and we'll go from there.
